Mas'ada (Mas'ade) is one of the four Syrian Druze villages in the Golan Heights. It is home to many small, inexpensive and delicious restaurants. On the southern outskirts of the village lies the Odem Forest, a large nature reserve that links the Druze village to the Israeli moshav of Odem, founded in 1981. Located on Mount Odem, it is close to the "Big Juba" rock formation in the nature reserve. There are also numerous orchards in the vicinity. "Odem" means ruby, referring to the red color of the rocks of Mount Odem, an extinct volcano. There are a number of pleasant guesthouses and a winery, Odem Mountain Winery.
