«He withdrew in the Galilee region and came to settle in a town called Nazareth; to the oracle of the prophets: He will be called the Nazaréen. (Matthew, 2).The small village where Jesus grew up has changed well. Nazareth is now an important city, bustling and flooded with traffic. With its 60 000 inhabitants, including a majority of Arabs (Christians and Muslims), Nazareth is the largest city in Galilee. It is also one of the cities most frequented by Christian pilgrims. The first impression when you arrive in Nazareth, in the middle of traffic jams and Horn noises, is rather noisy and sereine. However, don't miss to leave the car on side and explore the streets of the old town. They, with their village atmosphere, are home to churches, mosque, old historic buildings, as well as a lively souk and many small restaurants. There is also a little distance from the centre, the Nazareth village which reproduces, extras in support, the living conditions in the time of Jesus. In short, Nazareth deserves a lot of time to spend time!
