Travel Guide Mbodiène

At 6 km before Joal, Mbodiène is a small quiet village, with a sublime beach and a lagoon, a real refuge for birds. It is an ideal place to spend a few days in peace. In fact, it is better to enjoy it now before all the hotel projects come to fruition. On the village side, the church is the most impressive element. The stained glass windows reveal their true nature: they are in fact pieces of bottle glass, of wine, of Flag, and even of soum-soum, the local alcohol. Coincidence or divine joke, it would seem that these unusual stained glass windows were made by a father whose name was Bouteiller. Hardly believable!
