The birthplace of Léopold Sédar Senghor, Djilor Djidiack is nestled on the edge of a pretty, peaceful bolong, which is part of the club of the most beautiful bays in the world. Indexed on Google Maps under the name Guilor, it should not be confused with the village of Djilor Djognick, located near Fatick. Here, you can enjoy magnificent pirogue rides in the meanders of the bolongs, between wild mangrove and sea. Its beach is one of the few places where you can swim safely, with little depth and sheltered from the currents. The village also has a superb art museum, the MAHICAO, which alone is worth a visit.
