Mbour and its agglomeration constitute an important economic pole in the region because of its titanium mine and its important fishing port, the second in the country. The city does not have the tourist appeal of Saly, but its authenticity attracts many tourists who come to witness the impressive spectacle of hundreds of fishermen returning to the port every evening around 5pm, unloading thousands of fish from their colorful canoes. Going out late at night in the centre is also a good alternative to the atmosphere of Saly. You will find several money machines, the last ones before the Sine-Saloum, so think about it!
