The ski resort, located between 1,650 and 2,550 m above sea level, is linked to the Valmorel ski area, which constitutes the Grand Domaine. It is close to the Madeleine pass, a must for cyclists, and its highest point, the Cheval Noir (2,832 m), is accessible during the summer months for hiking, an opportunity to take a nice walk. Fanny Cottençon, actress and producer, is so used to the place that the cinema, Le Fanny, bears her name... Jean-Claude Killy, triple Olympic champion of alpine skiing, lived for a while in the village and trained on the slopes of the resort.
