At an altitude of nearly 1,000 meters, the village of Saxel is protected by an exceptional forest environment that allows you to discover the richness of the flora and fauna of the Voirons massif. The resort of Super-Saxel is a real belvedere on Lake Geneva offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Jura and Switzerland. In addition to the Renaissance style church built on a large rock, you can visit a peasant painting workshop and the chapel of the Voirons monastery where a hundred or so nuns live and make some handicrafts. Superb walks in perspective on many hiking trails.
