A sumptuous mountain cirque shelters the perched commune of Glandage and its isolated hamlet of Grimone, near the pass of the same name. At the foot of Mount Jocou (2,051 m), the hamlet of stones and flowers and its dozen or so inhabitants live to the rhythm of peaceful nature. This is undoubtedly a small, unspoilt paradise, ideal for a peaceful, rejuvenating stay. Built on the sunny side of the mountain, at an altitude of 1,150 metres, the hamlet used to make its living from pastoral activities and farming. Home to just a dozen inhabitants, Grimone offers three places to stay, an inn and the baker of Grimone's famous organic bread.
