Far from the fervor of the Pont d'Arc and the Gorges, Bessas is located on a small hill. It is a pretty little village of 200 inhabitants, quite close to Barjac, in the neighboring Gard, which stands out for its late 16th century castle and its four beautiful towers. In addition, there is a 17th century polychrome wooden altarpiece in the church, which is classified as a historical monument. For lovers of protected fauna and flora, part of the Malibaud marsh, classified as a natural zone of ecological interest, is home to a rich biodiversity. Agriculture remains alive around the cultivation of cereals, vines and olive trees. Two restaurants on site.
