The municipality is named after the Saint Bishop of Tours. The parish church surrounded by a cemetery was built on the hillside on the edge of a Compostelle, at the top of the Petit-Puy hill. It hides one of its entrances under a rustic narthex. On the edge of the Dive, a visit is required at the Grandmontain priory of Petit-Bandouille. The monks of Petit-Bandouille, called the Stars, were bound to a very austere rule of life. They were never over ten. Perhaps this explains that.
