Niedersteinbach is a very small village appreciated for its wooded and mountainous landscape. At the end of the 18th century, the village of Niedersteinbach was a dependency of the county of Hanau-Lichtenberg and then became part of France. After the fall of Napoleon, it became the property of the Grand Duchy of Hesse and only became French again after the two world wars in the 20th century. Full of charm, the commune of Niedersteinbach is appreciated today for its landscapes to be discovered during marked out hikes, but also for its historical heritage. Its ban contains indeed many castles and vestiges.
