Berdorf, situated on a plateau whose "ribbed" edges dominate the Sûre valley, is well known in Luxembourg's Little Switzerland. A multitude of hikes allow you to discover strangely shaped rocks, carved by natural elements over millions of years. Many of them bear a name that relates to their shape, history or local legends. The most famous "pieces" of Berdorf are located to the south and south-east of the village, on Route 2 of the Mullerthal Trail (local trail "E1", between Echternach and Berdorf), they are the Hohlay and Breechkaul caves and the rock of the Malakoff tower
