Located in the ancient county of Ponthieu, the commune of Domqueur is home to the Roman bridge of Domqueur, dating from the Roman era, located on the via Agrippa, a Roman road that linked the city of Reims to the Belgian coast. Classified as a historical monument since 1840, this bridge is considered as one of the best examples of Roman architecture in France. The main attraction of the area is the muches of Domqueur. They are vast underground cities built by the population during the 16th and 17th centuries, mainly to escape from the untimely looting. Guided tours are organized to discover them.
