Oudon is a small town on the banks of the Loire, east of Nantes. The creation of the city is not recent: traces of civilizations prior to the arrival of the Celts in Western Europe have been found thanks to dug-out canoes made of a single piece of wood and a menhir at the place called "Pierre Blanche". Its castle and its unobstructed view from the top of the keep and its medieval alleys make the attraction of the city, but it is especially its magnificent panoramas on the Loire and its green valley of the Havre which make it a privileged site for the discovery of the great river and its islands.
