THE MENHIR OF THE WHITE STONE
Monuments & Buildings
Recommended
This menhir dates from the Neolithic and testifies to the very ancient installation of man on this site. Located 200 metres from the hamlet of the same name, this huge quartz block stands on a height of 4,30 metres and a width of 3,60 metres. Legend tells that the stone turns on itself, once a year at midnight, but only elves know the date… Canoes dug by a single piece of wood were also found at the same place.
