Located between Hesdin and Fruges, at the sources of the Planquette, Fressin is a charming small village of 600 souls. He was the fief of Créquy's powerful family: There is still a castle in ruins, which can be visited and which has been complemented by the creation of medieval gardens. You can also admire the Gothic Church of the fifteenth century, classified to historic monuments and its funeral chapel. Fressin inspired the famous writer Georges Bernanos. The author of Satan's sun spent much of his childhood there. From the house of his holiday, there is only the pigeon house, on the street bearing his name, but an annual festival pays tribute to him in June.
