Donzac, a town awarded for its floral ornaments, is a commune where each citizen lives his profession with passion. A port and tollboat on the Garonne since the 14th century, Donzac was an oratory for the boatmen. The church, rebuilt in 1880, still has its 13th century bell tower, a square tower with two floors, unique in the region. The barrel-vaulted chapel was used in the 19th century as an oratory for boatmen. The port was the crossroads for barges transporting wine and salt. The washhouse, the neo-Gothic Saint Bartholomew's church, with its diamond-shaped oculus and geminated bays, and the very original sculpture by Dominique Singer are the first points of interest.
