Beauregard is a bastide in the Causses du Quercy Regional Nature Park. Beauregard's first name was Bel Regard, which was replaced by Beauregard, meaning a beautiful view or manor house. Its creation dates back to the Middle Ages, around the 13th century. It has all the characteristics of a bastide, with straight streets and the Place de la Halle at the very center of the village. The latter dates from the 15th century and features a solid roof structure covered with lauze. Near the village center, the Château de Marsa, unfortunately privately owned, is a beautiful building that has been altered over the centuries. Its square tower probably dates back to the 13th century.
