It is generally referred to as Saint-Loube. In fact, it is Saint-Loube-Amades, a commune that includes two former entities separated by the Lieuze River, Saint-Loube and Amades, Saint-Loube and Amades joined together in 1823 to form the current village with 96 inhabitants, hence the presence of two churches. The one dedicated to Saint-Loup, bishop of Troyes, located in the Lieuze valley, was rebuilt in the 18th and 19th centuries. Its entrance is dominated by a three-bell wall bell tower. In the nave and in a chapel one can admire a painted wood decoration and a coffered ceiling from the 18th century. The church of Saint-Pierre d'Amades, restored several times until the last century, also houses 18th century furniture. A stone and brick viaduct in the so-called Toulouse style, a remnant of the Toulouse-Boulogne/Gesse railway line which ran through villages in the Savès region until 1947, is worth seeing in this commune. During the 1939-45 war, Toulouse inhabitants used this little train to come and get supplies from the surrounding farms. The station building became a dwelling house. Before that, in the 1910s, a private individual built a house on the road to Laymont on the model of this station to set up a café-grocery store, a place very popular until the 1980s by the Saint-Loubois and the inhabitants of neighboring towns. The commune bought this important building in the collective memory with a view to rehabilitating it. There is a small bowling alley in Saint-Loube, picnic tables in front of the church of Saint-Loube and on the edge of the pond at the exit of the village. There are also remarkable views of the hills and the Pyrenees from the Croix de Garros (on the road to Forgues at the crossroads to Amades). The vitality of this village should be noted, with regular hikes and the Théâtra Lieuze amateur theatre festival.
