Castet-Arrouy, on the outskirts of Lectoure, is a name of Gascon origin, castèth arrolh, meaning "castle of earth and wood", the memory of which lives on through oral tradition. The commune has two main monuments: the Sainte-Blandine church with its facade and its square-based bell tower dating back to the 16th century, the nave and choir of which were rebuilt in the 19th century, while the murals by Paul Noël Lasseran (fantastic bestiary) were completed at the beginning of the 20th century. The old castle of Gachepouy, whose name comes from gachar(to watch) and pouy (from the Latin podium) which designates a height, is visible today but remains in ruins.
