Located at 550 metres above sea level, the Fontenelle Hill was a strategic point where violent fighting began at the beginning of the war 1914-1918 (years 1915 and 1916). The village is pleasantly located on the banks of Hure and Frabois Creek. It has 342 inhabitants called the Saptésiens. There is no shortage of balades to the Rock (800 m) and the mountain of Ormont.
