Vallière has a Gallo-Roman origin, the presence of the Gallo-Roman cemetery known as St Bonnet is one of the proofs. In the course of its existence, the municipality had a money shop and was the capital of an important vicarage. Under Henri III, in March 1576, the church of Vallière was ransacked by the retinue of the Duke of Alençon, the King's brother. Today, the bust of Pierre d'Aubusson adorning the fountain can be admired in its main square. In front of the entrance of the church (13th-15th centuries), to the left of the portal, a stone lion, to the right, a sarcophagus. Inside, an organ from the second half of the 19th century.
