Located in north-west Corrèze, this village and its old noble houses, dominated by the imposing remains of the castle, form a picturesque ensemble that has earned it a place among France's most beautiful villages. Nestled in a loop of the Auvézère river and protected by a rocky outcrop, Ségur is, as its place name suggests, a "safe place".
