Saint-Génis-des-Fontaines is another village in the Piedmont des Albères region, located about ten kilometres from Argelès and as far from Le Boulou. This dynamic town of nearly 3,000 inhabitants, whose centre is a little off the main road, has everything you need to seduce you: shops, culture and nature. Saint-Génis is famous for the cloister of its former abbey and the lintel of its church, which is the oldest stone from the Romanesque period. Also, not to be missed is the Chapelle Sainte-Colombe des Cabanes, a small building of medieval origin located in a wooded site 2 km from the village.
