Located at the limit of Languedoc and the coastal plain, the small village of Cruzy has preserved from its origins dating back to the 10th century one of the most beautiful fortified churches in France: the church of Sainte-Eulalie, classified as a Historic Monument since 1913. It was built between the 9th and 15th centuries, which explains the singularity of its forms, which hesitate between fortification and place of worship, and its style, which is both Romanesque and Gothic. Another testimony of the ancients, the Sainte-Foi church which stands its remains in the vineyards, on the passage of the old Roman road that linked Narbonne to Saint-Pons. The heart of the village deserves a stop, around the castle, the small streets mingle and intertwine, letting the visitor discover its past. All around, there are many paths for beautiful and long walks. A few kilometres from Cruzy, at the place called "Geyssa", the Richemont spring was exploited.
