Just a few kilometers from Alès, Rousson is part of the "great" Cevennes capital, where Louis XIII and Richelieu signed the Peace of Alès. This residential commune is surrounded by farmland, forests, orchards, meadows and aromatic plantations. Attractions Château de Rousson, listed as a historic monument since 1972. The church of St-Martin de Rousson has also been listed since 1963. The Castellas site, offering magnificent panoramic views from the Cévennes to the Alps, the Prehistorama, the ethno-botanical gardens and the red stone (a block tinted with iron oxide) that has given rise to numerous legends.
