This village, which has the appearance of a Gaulish entrenched camp, is an old 13th century bastide town, wanted by the Count of Champagne to mark the limits of its territory. On the main square stands the beautiful church of Notre-Dame-de-la-Nativité, built from 1203 to 1214, and restored in the 19th century under the control of Viollet-le-Duc. It is in the shade of the trees that surround this square that it is a pleasure to stop.
