In the past, this village depended on the lordship of Dourdan, then a royal town. Philippe-Auguste attached it to the provostry of Dourdan and to the bailliage of Etampes. In the 12th century, it became the property of the canons of Saint-Augustin (Saint-Chéron). Today, in addition to the abbey of Notre-Dame de l'Ouÿe, you can admire the 12th century church of Saint-Léonard. Several times altered, only the west portal remains of the first building. Its high square tower has been registered as a historical monument. Another monument of interest is a lime and tile kiln dating from 1851 which was used to manufacture bricks and tiles, an activity which continued until the beginning of the 1920s.
