Gallardon lies at the crossroads of the Beauce and Hurepoix regions. This medieval town lies on the banks of the Voise valley, ideal for long walks. The town's charm lies in its timber-framed houses, including the richly ornamented Fief des Marmousets, built in the 16th century. As soon as you arrive, you won't want to miss the 12th-century tower, named "Épaule de Gallardon" because of its shape. It is the remains of an ancient medieval stronghold, no longer in existence. To find out more about the local heritage, visit the Portes Euréliennes d'Île-de-France tourist office, located right next to the town hall.
