There is no legend as to the origin of the name of the commune, but a dispute of experts: a megalithic complex or boundary stones limiting a domain? Who knows?! It is a small territory with many localities called ponds that dominates the church of Saint-Pierre, which is entered by passing under its imposing bell tower, made of flint and cut stones. The vault is typical of inverted hulls. Its surrounding cemetery, like most of the cemeteries in the region surrounding their communal church, houses some Commonwealth graves, of those soldiers who died for freedom. Let us not forget that here we are in Normandy, the capital of the last war.
