Along the river Lizon, from the Middle Ages, there were mills that allowed the monks of Saint Claude to turn the wood. Later, thanks to the Barrages and Ravilloles dams, the Lizon supplies electricity. The family workshops of tournerie were then a great development and, in the th century, it was a real industry that developed in Ravilloles. You can walk on the edge of the Lizon, which now benefits from tourist facilities. From Lake Ravilloles, a hiking trail wins the Deaf lookout (780 metres) from where the view is breathtaking on the Ravilloles Dam and the Lizon valley.
