Things to see and do Bordeaux

The Bordeaux metropolis is urban... In this territory of 57,000 hectares, the balance between city and nature is perfect. Here, everything is done to preserve it: short circuits from producer to consumer, preservation of ecosystems and biodiversity... But the most astonishing thing is the variety of landscapes. To convince yourself of this, you just have to walk some of the 160 km of marked routes, stroll through some of the 130 parks and gardens of the agglomeration or spend the night in a peri-urban refuge: free and unusual!

St. Gallen Church is one of the oldest religious foundations in Bordeaux. The texts mention, from the th century, the existence of a women's convent founded by Dagobert I. His son, Sigebert, would have deposited in the altar a relic of St. Eulalia, a young Spanish martyr of the third century. St. Gallen Church, thanks to numerous construction and restoration campaigns, has become a true open book on the history of Bordeaux art over the centuries: all ages and styles blend in, thus making its originality and richness. Its fence grids date back to the th century. It has a very nice stand and many paintings.

Overlooking the docks at the height of Saint-Michel district, this Door is part of the arch of triumphal doors, commissioned by Intendant Square to replace those of the Middle Ages. Gara, however, was not rebuilt in the place of another, also in 1758 it was a new opening in the rampart to facilitate transport between the quays and the Capuchin district. It holds its name from the Currency Workshop that was located very close.

One of the many Club du Soleil that works in Bordeaux and the region to represent the interests and values of naturism in the largest naturist region of France through various actions throughout the year. In good weather, its members work at the Centre Hélio-marin de Montalivet.

Bordeaux Maritime is in the midst of rehabilitation and is overflowing with urban works. It is a place for cosmopolitan outings, on barges and in old warehouses, and for walks. We particularly like the cultural offer of the district symbolized by the Bassin des Lumières and Cap Sciences. The district also includes Bordeaux Lac, a 160-hectare lake, an exhibition centre, a congress centre, a hotel centre, an open-air base, a floral park and a velodrome.
