A fun, family-friendly museum with interactive, entertaining and educational exhibits and various workshops

A fun, family-friendly museum, Cap Sciences faces the Garonne River at the foot of the Chaban-Delmas bridge. It's the place to be if you want to understand science, life, the earth, space... Here, you'll find the answers to all your questions! In this huge, completely refurbished hangar, the exhibits are interactive and educational. Activities are available for children aged 3 and over (booking required). A variety of workshops are scheduled throughout the year, depending on age and theme: chemistry, archaeology, astronomy...

I visited the Lascaux cave exhibition today with my husband and three children ages 14, 11 and 7. We all really enjoyed it and I would recommend it as something to do for an hour or so if visiting Bordeaux this summer.
We were given a brief introduction by a member of staff which was very useful at introducing the story of the cave's discovery to our children.
The exhibition is clearly laid out, informative and very engaging. The audio visual recreation of the cave was excellent at bringing the experience of the prehistoric people to life for my younger children.
We didn't do the virtual reality experience so I can't comment on that.

A faire
