Like Corsica's other spa resorts, Guagno's waters have been known since antiquity: at 49°C, carbonated, chlorinated and sulfated, they are ideal for anti-rheumatic cures, polyarthritis, osteoarthritis, fitness cures, postnatal cures and functional rehabilitation. The spa and hotel complex, set at an altitude of 480 m, on the banks of a river and at the gateway to the regional park, has been refurbished but is still closed to this day (it was built in 1808, when the island's first spa doctor was appointed)! The hotel is now a nursing home.
