Formerly a village of foresters and shepherds, the village of Évisa is located at an altitude of 900 metres and offers unique and preserved landscapes. It is a strategic point to make superb walks in the forest or to swim and relax on the beach. After crossing the chestnut grove and part of the Aïtone forest, you arrive at the A Madre site, where you can discover the old water mills once used to make chestnut flour; this site offers a beautiful sight, but beware, this place, very famous for its coolness in summer, quickly becomes saturated by the overflow of visitors.
