Nestled among the vineyards that climb the hillsides dominated by the oak trees of the Montagne de Reims Regional Nature Park, the village of Chiny-les-Roses owes its name in part to Madame de Pommery who grew roses around her cottage, a rose garden. A bust of the famous Lady of Champagne was erected in her honor on the village square where roses continue to thrive in the streets and in the vineyards. With nearly 130 hectares of vines, mostly pinot meunier, spread over 36 locations and more than a hundred growers, the vineyard of Chigny-les-Roses has been classified as a1st growth of Champagne since 1927
