Mailly-Champagne is a small wine-producing village located in the heart of the Montagne de Reims natural park. It has nearly 280 hectares of vines, mainly pinot noir, and is home to more than 160 growers. It is in Mailly that Bernard Pagès left a tribute to Gaston Bachelard, a monumental column planted in the hillside. It is an assembly of cut stones and volumes built with bricks, marble and colored concrete, decorated with galvanized metal profiles. You can also admire the Romanesque church of Saint-Calixte dating from the 11th century and its two chapels, Saint Fiacre on the left and the Virgin with the bunch of grapes from the 14th century on the right.
