The preserved charm of a small rural village of 4,000 inhabitants. Typical facades, an old lace, a lovely place at the flowered kiosk, Signy-le-Petit has something to seduce. Natural assets also develop a rich tourist activity. A state forest of 310 ha, the Motte pond and various rivers promise beautiful walks. The fortifications of a large church high in the seventeenth century (instead of the one burned during the Spanish invasion of 1636) testify to a tortured past of a border village ravaged by wars. However, the industry had its place here. Blast furnaces, forges, glass furnaces and mills contributed to the development of Signy-le-Petit, which is now a remarkable tourist stop.
