We don't mess around with blackcurrant at Briottet's. It has been 10 years since Claire and her brother Vincent took over the reins of this Dijon-based institution, famous for its Crème de Cassis 100% Noir de Bourgogne, top-of-the-range liqueurs and digestifs. A deserved success and a notoriety that transcends borders. If bartenders from all over the world are tearing up the 64 liqueurs of the family house, it's because their cocktails are only better! The range is astonishing: kumquat, pineapple, basil, tonka... For the curious or undecided, each reference can be ordered on the online shop. In Dijon, the brand can be found in bars, restaurants, delicatessens and wine shops.

LA CAVE RAVONNEAUX

4.8/5
18 reviews
Closed - Open to 09h00

It was Jacques Ravonneaux who, in the 1980s, took over his uncle's small brewery business, leaving his job at Solvay. The small warehouse hidden behind the church has metamorphosed into a giant showcase since 2010 on more than 2,400 m2, not counting the shelving. Impossible to miss it, facing the airport, along the RN 73 between Tavaux and Dole. The Ravonneaux family has become one of the greatest French beer specialists. More than 1,300 references for sale! An impulse that we owe to Janine, the sister, but above all to Claude, both of whom disappeared too soon. Claude was nicknamed "the Pope of Beer"! The store's 400 m2 are divided into thematic modules: glassware (including beer bottles), party items, alcoholic beverages, whisky and rum cellar, wine cellar. The loose tea and coffee space tickles the nostrils as soon as you cross the threshold. The evenings come alive with tastings discovered during the year. The open house in April is always popular with both professionals and private individuals.

The Védrenne shop in the rue Bossuet is a nice showcase for the group of the same name based in Nuits-Saint-Georges. Created in 1923, the Védrenne house is a real institution. Among the distillery's products, we can mention the "Supercassis" blackcurrant cream at 20 degrees which is a pure delight, or, very trendy, the triple dry curaçao. The selection is varied and you will naturally find the wines of Domaine Henri Magnien de Gevrey-Chambertin. From 6 € to 50 €, the price range is interesting and allows all awards to offer a few quality designations. In addition to liqueurs and spirits, the Fagon cellar offers numerous Sicilian references, ranging from cruchon to gift format.
