It looks like a box on the pavement, with large bay windows to better appreciate the delicacy of the compositions. Japanese cuisine has pride of place here, and it's also an opportunity to dine on local salmon or cod. The setting is pleasant and bright.

Recognizable by its yellow facade with a large protruding entrance. Located on the square of the city museum, the atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed. On the first floor, a beautiful room opens onto a large terrace, and on the second floor, you discover the bar where you can order, surrounded by a few tables on each side. The café is decorated with old advertising posters, some of which are French. The clientele is mixed. There is a good choice of wines and beers. The place is very luminous thanks to the large picture windows and cosy in the evening.

A little removed from the tourist hustle and bustle of Nyhavn, this very smart restaurant produces dishes combining seafood and gourmet vegetables, processed and presented in refined preparations. The restaurant is organized on several levels: a beautiful courtyard amidst ^17th- and ^18th-century buildings, warmed by an outdoor fireplace; an upstairs room with a more intimate decor; and a cabinet reserved for private snacks. The overall atmosphere is very cosy, with candles and marine paintings adding a harbor touch. Beautiful and very good!

A former bathhouse converted into a restaurant or rather an inn. An address as we like them, with a real atmosphere. Gentle, serene, a little out of time. In a rural setting, near a lake. Eat at the inhabitant's house! What a great idea! Meet the Danes' is a concept created and founded in 2001 by Anett Waeber, a resident of Copenhagen. The association allows you to have lunch or dinner with an authentic Danish family during your stay. As we dine early in Denmark, the hours are between 6:30 pm and 10 pm approximately, but you can make other arrangements with your host. The menu includes three courses and drinks (wine or beer). An institution established on the marina since 1947. This restaurant, which specialises in fresh fish, has since reoriented part of its menu towards more international dishes, such as the Viennese schnitzel or the burger, but still retaining a Danish touch (sea burger with plaice fillet, asparagus and prawns). The Fjørukrógvin restaurant is located in the tourist center of Vestmanna. It serves a variety of dishes made mainly from Faroese ingredients, including fish and lamb.

In summer, the restaurant offers a buffet lunch available to those taking the boat trip to the cliffs, either on return from the morning tour or before the 2:15pm tour.

An honourable house run by a very friendly family, recently restored and situated opposite the harbour. Here you get excellent Danish food: fish balls, smoked eels, pickled herring, fresh fish (plaice) and a wide variety of smørrebrøds. And the most nutritious local dish you can share: Svendborgsundgryde (pork tenderloin, turkey breast, cocktail sausage, bacon, peppers, mushrooms, onions with paprika cream, served with small oven-roasted potatoes). Nice terrace for a drink.

If you are in a shortage of French croissants, you will find it as good as in the Hexagon at Marie-France: The baker is French, and some come from far to buy (open from 4 a. m.).

At CPH coffee Lab, coffee is a science but ethical. Founded in 2013, the house has grown around high-quality specialty coffees. A wholesaler but also baker baristas! Because the pastries are to die for taste satisfaction! For a lunch on the go, the traditional Danish rye bread is one of the classics. It is made with sourdough, has a dense structure and a nice sour taste that reminds of old-fashioned snacks with a piece of cheese. If you live in the southeast of France, you will find them. Pulpo is a bar-restaurant where you can stop for a cup of coffee in the sunshine, or enjoy a glass of wine or a cold beer at any time of day! Depending on your mood, opt for a quick lunch with a single course and a glass of wine, or for the 4-course tasting menu including wines, cheeses and desserts. The menu is inspired by Italian and Spanish cuisine (linguine with shrimp, fried calamari), with a few detours to South America (ceviche, N'duja). Good ingredients that change with the seasons throughout the year.

As its name indicates, this coffee has been inspired by the famous American TV series for its sign (which cannot be missed!) and its décor… Those who expect to discover the famous café where characters spent all their time will be disappointed. Only common point: the Central Perk logo on the storefront. Entrance is via the inner courtyard. At the top of the Parliament Tower, Tårnet offers a breathtaking view of Copenhagen, and serves "new Nordic cuisine" that follows the seasons. The restaurant collaborates with the non-profit organization Zero FoodPrint Nordic, which supports visionary Nordic farmers committed to protecting nature.

The Granola is part of the Hotel Central, the smallest hotel in the world. Not very big either, this nice restaurant has that something that makes that as soon as you enter it, the charm works. It's from another era, the 1920s or 1930s. The French brasserie-inspired cuisine is simple but of high quality. From omelette revisited to beef tartar, salads and other fruit porridges... Behind the counter, the walls are dressed with bottles, so you can eventually let yourself be tempted by a homemade cocktail!

For a change of pace from the traditional Smørrebrød, Famo is a famous osteria offering traditional Italian cuisine of the highest quality, using seasonal produce. The menu is created by chef Fabbio Mazzon. Living in Denmark for 25 years, he made a name for himself in the world of haute cuisine before becoming his own boss! A fine Italian wine list, with good advice from the staff. The establishment is pleasantly situated in Østerbro, facing the lake, with a view of swans and seagulls.

You can eat Danish specialties with French and Spanish inspiration and high gastronomy. The plates are like works of art and the combinations are inventive. Reservations are essential. There is also a beautiful courtyard used throughout the summer. Danish ingredients, preferably local and seasonal, and the menu is based on 11 small dishes of the same size and price.

A duo at the helm of Miro. A high quality gastronomic restaurant, using Danish products with oriental touches and French references. A very refined wine list. A soft atmosphere in the room. The formula is simple: a 5-course menu, which can be upgraded by adding foie gras or caviar. A carefully selected glass of wine can accompany your dish. In this case, it will cost you double the price of the menu. But that makes all the difference with this food and wine pairing!

Simple and tasty cuisine in a very pleasant setting. The seasonal menus combine 2 to 5 dishes of your choice, with or without accompanying wines. A hotel school where you can also sleep. Byen Hus is a municipally supported project that started in 2010. In this large contemporary building, there is a bookshop, the local archives, a Biograf cinema, an art gallery, a brasserie and... a café serving street food.
