Right next to the mosque, these bodegas, which owe their name to the mosque, offer a charming, modern setting where more than forty tapas are prepared daily. Its brunch with homemade pies and fresh juices is excellent and is naturally very popular with the trendy locals. In the basement, there is a charming room where you can have a drink... with your feet in the sand!

Emile Huguenin, owner of a restaurant in Bordeaux where Spanish opponents met, decided to follow his customers. This is how he opened Lhardy in 1839. It is said to have been the first great luxury restaurant in Madrid. The refined atmosphere remains around the 21 tables of the living rooms on the first floor and the address is still very popular with the Madrid bourgeoisie. Try the homemade speciality: guts and stew (cocido). On the ground floor, the consommé (caldo) and pastries are delicious at any time of the day. Closed in August.

A small restaurant like we like, with a warm atmosphere, a marine decoration and generous invigorating dishes: the seafood soup or the unavoidable fabada, accompanied by a small white wine of the region. You can also enjoy good seafood such as razor clams, cockles and scallops, as well as fish such as grilled sole, monkfish or red mullet. It is located on the port and owes its name to the old barometer visible on its facade. A good address to try!

The small terrace is a little bit on the street, so it is better to sit inside, which will allow you to discover the pretty interior patio and the collection of many old radio sets, not to be missed.

Located near the Puerta de Sevilla, this beautiful, bright white and beige space features local products. For example, there are small pan-friedespinacas con garbanzos (spinach and chickpeas) oresparragos trigueros con huevo, a local vegetable served with eggs, which only grows in spring and when it has rained. But also cod, fried, a la plancha or Cadiz style, with chilli, garlic and onions. Gachas dulces - a puree of flour and milk, flavoured with honey, vanilla or cinnamon - will round off the meal.

At the beginning of the very pleasant paseo de los Tristes, on a terrace with a wonderful view of the Alhambra or in a room in a rather pleasant post-modern setting (wooden parquet floor, raw tones, and furniture with straight lines), this renowned address, from the opening at the end of 2004, serves a sunny menu with the scents of the three cultures (Christian, Jewish and Muslim). Here, every day, a demanding international clientele follows one another in search of a special moment... In the kitchen, Al-Andalus' culinary heritage, reinterpreted and updated, takes on an air of harmonious and imaginative experience in terms of both presentations and flavours: coconut wolf fillet, chicken pastilla, bluefin tuna tataki, sea bass turban and zucchini, prepared rice, lamb couscous or rabbit stew. Valid for the East/West charter! Brought to the table with dynamism, this fine and quite original cuisine will be accompanied by crus picked in a wine cellar at the right temperature, among an interesting selection of local references and organic wines. Don't miss out on homemade desserts like rum cake with mascarpone cream and coffee mousse. All this to be enjoyed especially in the evening, to have, icing on the cake, a magnificent view of the illuminated Alhambra.

In 2006, Martín, Extremeño himself, brought a little of his native land to open this grocery store, which also serves as a tasting point. Very well sourced, many products come from Jerez de los caballeros, near Badajoz, and will allow you to taste hams, chorizos, lomos and especially lomitos, one of the main products of the place. Or on the cheese side, the torta del casar, a sheep's cheese with a melting heart, and even the Canary Islands speciality, the guia flower, mixing cow's and sheep's milk and unique cheese using the thistle flower as a coagulant. It can be accompanied by a good selection of extreme wines such as Habla el silencio, a Trujillo wine, which sits in one of the corners of this warm shop or on the small terrace on the pretty square of La Concepción. Not to mention building a gourmet basket before leaving: jams, plasencia vinegar, vera pepper, etc.

Here you won't find pintxos at the counter: you have to make your choice on the slate and order from the waiters (if you manage to make your way to the bar!). This tiny tavern, one of the best in the whole city, is a must for its pintxos guisados, real little dishes simmered in sauce, such as the famous carrillera (pork) with red wine. Idiazábal's cheese risotto is also excellent, as is the pork rib kebab and ravioli filled with scampi or chipiron (depending on the season).

Close to the town hall, this white cross is a great success for its terrace and its traditional, well-honed suggestions! The kitchen ensures (the service also!): cuttlefish, foie gras, fish and meat in sauce… Arrive early before the foire faire!

Its azulejo-clad walls give it an air of another time, as if you were entering the Madrid of another time... The large windows and a few mirrors here and there make the place bright. The warm and friendly welcome doesn't spoil anything. In the restaurant, you can dine on the great classics of Madrid cuisine, or enjoy a coffee with a pastry or tapas in the brasserie. Gran Café El Espejo, with its Art Deco terrace and kiosk on the Paseo de Recoletos, has no competition. Not to be missed!

At the entrance to Begur, on the road leading to Tamariu, this restaurant first offers a delicious framework, in an old masia redesigned. And in good weather, a nice terrace giving the surrounding mountains. When you enter, you can let yourself be tempted, if it's the season with fried peas with garlic and ham and continue by opting for the peix, the specialty of Begur. But meat, cooked in the oven are also excellent and will delight lovers of meat tastes. Sweet side, oranges at the port or a blueberry ice should punctually punctuate it. Good selection of wines. Pleasant step in an intimate setting.

Just a stone's throw from the Kursaal, this cheerful tavern from 1928 never fails to fill up! During the film festival, it is even one of the favourite places for journalists. In addition to its excellent daily menu and brasa specialities (octopus skewers, black pudding with peppers, hake), the place is famous for its excellent pintxos. At the counter, try the classic Gilda or the octopus with vinaigrette. Above all, don't leave without tasting the excellent tortilla (prepared on the spot) and the kompleto sandwich made with tuna, Ibarra peppers and anchovies.

The Bar Gaucho is an authentic and ancient institution in Pamplona, whose counter is besieged by customers both in winter and summer! Its inventive pintxos have won numerous awards, both in the mix of flavors and in the presentation. Lovers of quietness, avoid this bar always full. Among the many combinations available(huevo trufado and tortilla in particular), don't miss the pintxo de foie, a classic of the house. More than just a pintxo bar, the Bar Gaucho is the soul of Pamplona.

The Chata is decorated with earthenware tiles, wooden beams where the hams are hung with posters of the bullfighting world. It's all about the change of scenery. Downstairs there is a dining room and upstairs there is a room to enjoy excellent sandwiches and traditional dishes at a very good price. The casseroles, served in a terracotta plate, of squid in their ink, white beans with cockles or stuffed peppers are succulent. A very good address in the Cava Baja, not just for tourists.

Here is an establishment with a warm decor, where the quality products of the region (mushroom soufflé, seasonal vegetables and, of course, jamón ibérico) are highlighted with talent. Many hearty dishes, a tasty homemade pâté made of the product of the hunt, not to mention good wines, including an excellent agua dulce de Villalúa, all served by waitresses in red suits. Manuel Garcia, the friendly manager, organizes from mid-February to the beginning of March the Gastronomic Days of Hunting. This happens every two years.

This restaurant is housed in an exquisite 19th century to the beautiful garden, located off Villaverde and on the road of Oliva. It will delight you with its Canarian good, fresh produce, and its local wines - including the famous Stratus of Lanzarote, Malvasia, in white and rosé, a sure bet! To make your mouth water, discover hot goat cheese of the country and their honey, Vieja, fresh fish and typical of the region, roasted and served with fresh vegetables and boiled potatos! On the menu, a multitude of the country that will make you want to return to enjoy them all: vinaigrette octopus and vegetables, assorted cheeses of Fuerteventura, scrambled eggs with sausage and leeks, cod tortilla... House specialities: meat from the barbecue, fried kid and fresh fish from the island (grilled grouper, Galician octopus with), beef stew goat, rabbit Mahoh style, roast Suckling Pig... The choice and flavours! As for sweets, quickly try the speciality here including the mousse Gofio, Catalan cream, or the chocolate nappée fig! Impeccable and friendly service, made by a team of 7 people. The place is also a charming rural hotel with pool!

Bodega founded in 1938, with a beautiful decoration of exposed beams and barrels, whose lids painted by visiting artists make up the curious "Museo Redondo". A la carte, traditional recipes such as caracoles a la riojana (snails) are served alongside more contemporary dishes such as ravioli with liver béchamel sauce, Iberian pork with chimichurri sauce, or tuna tataki. Also good tapas to share, such as tortilla, Santoña anchovies and typical rabas. A good address!

The Asador El Fogón de Etayo is our favourite address in Puente La Reina, where you can enjoy excellent regional cuisine in a pleasant setting, blending old stone with contemporary details. Grilled meat and fish, fresh vegetables from the garden (artichokes, asparagus, peppers, etc.): this restaurant relies on good seasonal produce to offer traditional dishes. Don't miss the pochas au chorizo, a very tasty white bean soup, as well as the unavoidable grilled meats "a la parilla".

A few steps from the cathedral, this Palacio du Gallego has been located in a building of the late sixteenth century since 2017. You can also say that you will be placed in a beautiful space and that the pleasure will first be that of the eyes, including when the selected dishes are carefully presented. Here, traditional cuisine is on the menu but sprinkled with innovative touches. For example, we can try the risotto to mushrooms and parmesan, but we recommend home specialty, truffle eggs, iberico ham and white gambas, prepared and served per minute, a delight. Aubergines with honey and liver million will also be able to treat you. For more informal cuisine, you can join the tasca, or choose the interior patio and its BBQ barbecue.

A Parte Vieja institution since 1980! This tiny tavern has only one table, the famous Mesa 19, which must be reserved in advance for the chance to eat there. Otherwise, like the others, you'll have to lean back at the bar to taste the Bar Nestor's specialities. The divine tortilla, to begin with, is invariably served at 1pm and 8pm (you'll have to reserve your share by noon, as it is so much in demand!). Then the excellent tomato salad, roasted peppers, and the best prime rib (txuleta) in town. Always crowded!

An essential stop on the road to the pintxos of Donostia! Located in the Gros district, not far from the Kursaal, the Bergara bar offers miniature cuisine in a modern setting. Don't miss the emblematic pintxos of the house, such as txalupa (mushroom and scampi gratin) and bacalao ajoarriero (cod-based), but also foie gras with mango jam, itxaso (monkfish with leek cream), scrambled eggs with anchovies and peppers... Everything is delicious and well explained on the map: handy for beginners!

Nothing to fear from those Meigas (Galician witches) to whom this restaurant near the English working-class district pays tribute. While it retains its dual Basque and Galician inspiration, it also spices up its menu and dishes with a modern touch. Since we are in Guadix, we might as well go to dinner in a restaurant set up in a cave and we will reach the heights, to the north, beyond the railway station. Specialized in grilling since 1998, the small brewery of the beginning has grown and has become the reference in its field, high quality meats, grilled over a wood fire. In the evening, choose the tapas tasting menu before going to the theater, excellent and very complete, or for a delicious, finely cooked tender. Plus, the service is impeccable.

In this small family restaurant with vaulted whitewashed rooms, you share with other customers large tables covered with red and white checked tablecloths. Don't hesitate to take your time, because the service is a little fast; you are pushed around with a smile, that's the style of the house, now run by Juanito and Maria. No à la carte and no menu, you will appreciate the dishes of the day which are proposed to you, concocted according to the fishing, but also carpaccio of gambas, grilled sea bream or anchovies of Cadaquès.

Since 2014, Lilium has rallied the Marina to settle in an all-white space with a simple and bright decoration. One can try the banana croquettes, accompanied by mint mayonnaise and beautifully presented on a leaf-shaped plate and in its silver corolla, the tuna tartar is seasoned with a delicious mango vinaigrette. For dessert, chocolate coulant with gofio or cheese millefeuille with grenadilla cream await you. The menu changes with the seasons and can be enjoyed on a terrace sheltered from the wind.

Since its beginnings as a small tapas bar, quickly becoming an essential part of the onubense tapeo, this place, transformed into a bar-restaurant since 2004, is held in the hands of Juan Francisco Martin. Who continues to provide attention and good advice to his clients. Two spaces to settle in, a traditional restaurant but which maintains the spirit of classic tapeo and a space more dedicated to tapeo which is organized at the entrance around the pretty counter and a few tables. Everything is particularly fresh, coming directly from the market, and we will be keen to test the day's suggestions. But it would be a shame to leave without tasting their specialities: tuna tartar, coquinas (clams) or huevos de chocos (squid eggs). Chocolates, the local name for squid, are present here in many forms: in sauce (salsa), fried or in albondigas (meatballs). The tapeo can also be decorated with one of the homemade reviews, prawns, cod, chorizo or small spring asparagus and can't resist the Iberico de bellota ham, hanging behind the counter. For the accompanying wines, we will also rely on good advice.

Since 1870, La Bola has been offering the famous cocido madrileño (Madrid stew) and it is a very popular address in the capital to taste it. The Verdasco family restaurant has kept its traditional style, wooden tables and period photos for six generations. You can taste all the specialities of Madrid: tripe, lamb with charcoal, which you can accompany with an excellent Rioja (because you can also find a good selection of wines). The clientele is rather old, but you are in the traditional Madrid!

This small restaurant nestled in the corner of an alleyway in Sóller was born in 2011 from a family of food lovers with a passion for their native island. Only the freshest and most local products possible are used to make the house specialty: pintxo. Pintxos are small skewers made of various products from the island, each one tastier than the last. Don't miss the "Solomillo Rockefeller", a delicious fillet mignon with goat cheese and caramelised onions. A very popular address.

In the heart of the Gothic Quarter, you'll find the Mariscco Reial restaurant in a "Renaissance" building dating back to 1850.
