Day 2: Luang Prabang
Steps: Vientiane, Luang Prabang, Muang Sing

In Luang Prabang, visit of the Royal Palace (national museum), the Vat Xieng Thong, one of the most beautiful temples of the country with its frescoes and mosaics, then walk along the Mekong river or on the Mekong (by pirogue) to admire the sunset (magnificent viewpoint!). Dinner by the water.
Day 3: Surroundings of Luang Prabang
Steps: Vientiane, Luang Prabang
Escapade in the surroundings: visit the caves of Pak Ou by boat and the surrounding villages. The day continues to the Khuang Si waterfalls (agencies in the city center organize this excursion). Return at the end of the afternoon.

Those who wish to do so can also continue their journey to Phongsali province, a very wild and little-known region for visitors, whose eponymous capital is nicknamed the City of Mist. Here the mountains are steeper and the roads are often in poor condition. Return to Luang Prabang.
