Travel Guide Don Det

Located in the south of the Si Phan Don archipelago, this island is undoubtedly the most visited by young people. Today, Don Det has the reputation of being the new Vang Vieng... People come here more to party than to visit the island, which has nothing picturesque anymore. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is not the place to be. Accommodation is cheaper than elsewhere. The guesthouses are spread out along the paths that line both shores: from the small beach in the north where the pirogues from Don Khong disembark, to the French bridge that connects Don Det to Don Khone, its neighbour, further south. The main village is Ban Hua Det and is located at the northern tip of the island.
