Capbreton is one of the few towns where the fish goes directly from the fisherman to the consumer! Every day, depending on the weather conditions, as you stroll along the quay, you will witness the return of the gillnetters, caseyeurs, trollers or the only trawler of the fleet. Gavroche, P'tit Loup, Syrius... At the foot of the harbour master's office, each of the 19 boats has its own sales table, filled with ice flakes. The fishermen deposit, under your eyes, the catch of the day! The surplus is collected by the Saint-Jean-de-Luz/Ciboure auction truck.

The bees first gather in the acacia woods in the Gironde, then disperse to harvest a wonderful bourdaine honey in the humid areas of the Landes forest, while others gather chestnut or lime flowers in the Pyrenees.

LA PÂTISSERIE DU GOLF

Patisserie

2 reviews

Pascal Ges, pastry chef and chocolate maker, is, like many craftsmen, not very talkative when it comes to talking about his passion. That's fine with us, because a good tasting is better than a long speech! Do not deprive yourself. In the store, it is the lady who advises and explains the different varieties of chocolates. The golf ball is one of the original creations, like the Hossegor caviar, a delicacy to offer or to share. Individual or not, the pastries are made with fresh fruits. You will hesitate between the croissants with pine nuts, the Louise tart with caramel shortcrust pastry, the rum baba and its pipette, the spread, the home-made ice creams. Tea lovers will be able to choose from the range of Pagès teas. The locals and visitors are not mistaken, the famous Basque cake, plain or with morello cherry, remains a must. Once you have made your choice (which is not easy) you can't wait to go home and taste them.

Rillettes, we, ducks of duck (we and 10% of foie gras), duck block in foie gras, ballotine ballotine, candied thighs, gizzards and other aiguillettes, short, duck in all its states. If you're not afraid, you'll get started with Foie gras gras. Whole Foie gras to eat on grilled bread, half-baked slightly sweeter and more rustic, fresh gras fresh pan. What a pleasure and surprise your friends. In this artisanal cannery you can compose your gift boxes and supplement them with other local products, such as jams, cheeses and wines.
