LUZZI
Read moreBeware, this is not the place where you will find peace and quiet! The Luzzi family, from generation to generation, has run this trattoria since 1945. The current owner, assisted by his daughter, is animated and has fun with the numerous customers in this area located next to the Colosseum. The dishes are good and you can find the traditional Roman specialties (like the classic trippa alla romana or the no less famous coda alla vaccinara). To devour also, pizzas cooked scrupulously on wood fire. A good address in the neighborhood.

A TOA DE ZENA
Read moreIf you're in the mood for a traditional Genoese meal, among all those modern bistros on Via Ravecca, step into this tiny, yellow-painted restaurant. FYI: Zena is the Genoese dialect name for Genoa. Farinata, ravioli, fish, and the classic trofie with green pesto, everything is prepared in the simplest of ways. A very friendly family atmosphere, where French is spoken. Prices are very reasonable and the food is delicious. Places are scarce, but it's well worth the wait!
VINANDO A TOR MARGANA
Read moreWine bar and restaurant in a quiet, shady square, a stone's throw from ancient Rome. The references on the menu promise interesting tastings for wine lovers. To accompany your glass, a vast choice of antipasti on land and sea: Parma ham, fried zucchini flowers and octopus salad. On the seaside, there's good fish pasta (spaghetti with clams and bottarga). On the land side, there's boletus and truffle risotto. A moment of pleasure for the taste buds, slightly removed from the tourist madness.
TANDOOR AND WOK
Read moreCan you Dépayser in a "New" neighborhood like the ZAC of the Good Milk? Yes, and Smart proves it by inviting you to make a culinary trip through Asia on a quiet street at the foot of a recent building. Tandoor & Wok, the first Asian restaurant 100% halal on Lyon, offers a nice showcase, promise of a bright room where one feels good at lunch time among colleagues working, friends or family. We stop at the counter where the smile is always for an excellent welcome. At Tandoor & Wok, the kitchens are open and you don't hide anything. Between Asian wok and Indian tandoori, cooking comes under your eyes in the hands of a Vietnamese stove and Indian cooks. You can order by phone and get delivered, but also take on the spot to take advantage of the big desk. At a table, you choose between India and China, unless you mix them both on the room or on the Sans Frontières menu. Smart regularly cracks on the Aloy menu - delicious spring rolls, served beef with Thai rice, Banana Doughnut - or Ejad - tasty pakora, chicken curry or kima Madras, plaow to finish, while adding an excellent cheese nan baked in the tandoor oven - less than 16 €. No alcohol, of course, but you have to taste a lassi to get fun. An address whose reputation goes well beyond the neighbourhood.

RISTORANTE RIBOT
Read moreA nice address at very good prices, easily reached on foot from the piazzale Roma. It takes its name from a famous thoroughbred, winner of many races at French racecourses. We appreciated the well-kept setting and the flowered garden where we can settle down when the weather is nice. The Venetian cuisine offers beautiful plates of fish cooked with talent (spaghetti with cuttlefish ink, scallops). The products are fresh, and the dishes, including bread and pasta, are homemade.

ALGIUBAGIO RISTORANTE

Inside, the atmosphere is modern and cozy, and outside, a terrace that floats on the water for even more relaxed meals. Behind the stove, ingredients are assembled with a permanent quest for culinary refinement. Those in a hurry will simply stop by the bar for an espresso with brioche, or for the evening spritz and cicchetti.
BISTROT LA VARENNE
Read moreNamed after the Cook Pierre de la Varenne (the creator of sauces and various sauces, this th century cook is the author of a famous book as one of the first cookbook), this Bistro is more than just a bistro. On a peaceful square in the Quartier des Antiquaires opening up to the Rhone, the Bistrot La Varenne is an invitation to enjoy a wide range of leisure times. On the terrace or in warm (but air-conditioned) rooms, this restaurant/wine bar is not lacking in elegance or conviviality around Jean-Baptiste Dumond. Every Thursday and Friday, the Bistro organizes the "Work, Metro, Bistrot" (after work 18 h/21 h) to share around a good glass of wine (more than 40 references with small producers selected with care), and a board (charcuterie or local cheeses) to enjoy among friends. In cooking, Chef Yoann Richard prepares home-made dishes from products of artisans and small producers (some products to be found in the grocery corner). With its own (rare) sauce, it gives taste and taste to a map that follows the seasons. This summer, a true beef tartar with a knife like La Varenne or a creamy burratina at the "Fabioyann". To follow, a French beef fillet at low temperature, light béarnaise or a yellow place, roasted vegetables and bergamot marmelade, piquillos sherbet. Refined cheeses and pyramid with two intense chocolates, creamy caramel caramel to finish. Opened since 2015, a real discovery of the Smart this year and an authentic coup de coeur for a whole in the spirit of Lyon, that is, good humour and excellence.

They serve only the products of their catch, sometimes lobster. Their boat is always "parked" on the pebble beach of Boccadasse. The place is small, but we're happy to wait with a fruity white wine and a variety of calamari and seafood. Our favorite is the fish pasta. Reasonable portions.

BISTROT DE VENISE
Read moreInteresting address, listed in the Michelin Venice for 20 years. This restaurant is both traditional and a bit whimsical, a good table where history, art and gastronomy are combined in a refined setting. The staff is dedicated to digging into the dungeons of Venetian cuisine to unearth amazing recipes. The langoustine with sweet and sour sauce, with onions, almonds and raisins, for example, is amazing... Just like the cellar, which is full of vintages. Large choice of wines by the glass and oyster tasting at the counter.

ANTICA SACRESTIA
Read moreThe restaurant is located in an old sacristy that until ten years ago housed the art gallery of a famous master glassmaker. In the kitchen, apart from the traditional pizzas, which are counted by the dozens, the owner Giuseppe Calliandro reappropriates almost all the treasures of local cuisine, such as Venetian liver served with polenta, cannelloni with Doge or scampi alla busera. Whatever you order, your plate will be deliberately generous. The wine list is also qualitative. Good reception in addition.

FRITE ALORS
Read more{1}Futé{/1} will avoid you all the Quebec swearwords and other beauties of our American cousins' language to tell you what we think about Frite Alors. The concept, a first on the Old Continent, is that of a made in Québec Belgian chips shop. And if the French fries are the stars, it is the Quebec speciality which does its show according to us: the poutine. Ah! the poutine, which is the dish that you would like to eat after a beautiful logging session in the heart of a cold forest, but a little less after a shopping session in town... It is the only dish that can provide your calorie requirements for a week at once! A dish that comes in several varieties, but never in light version... Even the Vladimir one, "regular" sauce, exceeds our fat absorption capacity. Then, we've not yet told you about the "grosse Cochonne" (fat pig)... In short, the decor may look too much like a canteen enlivened by some illustrated frames, the service is young and friendly, the portions are generous and we're looking for the number of our cardiologist to tell him that we had a crush on the Viennese poutine. As for burgers, they are as fresh as generous and even tasty. Finally, it is not the chips that have caught our attention, but a (fat) poutine which hasn't still existed in Lyon. An ideal address to avoid the recommendations of the national nutrition health programme, but original and friendly. Note that there's another address in the 3rd arrondissement. So how about French fries? The choice is up to you.

Giovanni Trevisan has seen some of the world's most famous people come to enjoy his refined dishes, washed down with an impressive selection of regional wines (nearly 250 labels). From Lady Di to Hugo Boss, from actors Hugh Grant to Tom Cruise, they all enjoyed themselves at the former director of Trussardi's Cafeteria at La Scala in Milan. But, according to him, one of his most faithful customers was a certain François Mitterrand..
