For 9 years, Christine and Sylvie have been running this store located on the Route d'Espagne. They have made it the temple of regional products and propose beautiful shelves of delicatessen, wine cellar, beers, meats and delicatessen, cheeses, fresh vegetables, fruit juices, breads and pastries, sweets, milk of local producers, organic products, preserves, jars of prepared dishes... The list is very long... The products are selected for their quality and come from the Ariège or the South-West. The store is nice, the reception too, in short, we go there!

Foix has many bakeries, but this one shines by its past, its originality and the quality of its bread. It has existed for more than a century and its wooden frontage reminds us of a medieval shop. The store smells good bread, croissants, flour... Thierry Massat, the baker who has been at the helm for 20 years, works in front of his 1901 wood oven. And what comes out of it is nothing but delight and sweetness: sourdough breads and pastries baked in wood and the ravaille (badly baked bread), a traditional bread. Delicious sandwiches in a whole baguette!

Attention gourmands... Founded in 2014 by Alex Gareiss, this artisan chocolate factory focused primarily on fair trade, works directly and closely with cocoa producers located in Ecuador. You can, of course, get bars of dark chocolate (from 75% to 100%!), pure or enhanced with various spices, but also unroasted beans, cocoa butter and non-defatted chocolate, ideal for pastries or delicious real hot chocolates. It's good, it's organic, it's all choco! It's a Futo address

Carrefour Contact in Foix is a smart address. What makes it so? This medium-sized, easily accessible store has the advantage of being open 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm. Super convenient when you're late arriving from vacation or are missing the ultimate ingredient for your impromptu dinner with friends. Roasters are passionate craftsmen. A new store has just opened near Place Pyrène. Sophie Garrabé, a native of Fuxé, invites us to discover the coffees she roasts herself. Thanks to her selection of beans, our taste buds will travel from Africa (Ethiopia, Uganda...) to South America (Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Costa Rica...). Her knowledge and advice are not limited to coffee: Sophie also excels in her knowledge of teas (Chinese and Japanese) and other delicious, fragrant infusions.

7 km from Auzat, in the charming little village of Marc, at 1,070 m, the last of the valley at the foot of the Soulcem dam, the beekeeper Sylvie is the queen of bees, she watches over her 100 hives and harvests the precious golden honey. All the products of the hive are natural antibiotics, each with its own virtue. From the sweetest to the strongest flavour, there are many varieties of honey: acacia, rhododendron, lime, chestnut, heather and of course "all flowers in dry stones". Children will enjoy discovering the small eco-museum.

This brewery in Ariège evokes the bison painted in the Niaux cave. Marie Guera, the brewery's owner, refers to the emotion this bison provoked in her childhood. The beers on offer are handcrafted, using organically grown raw materials (malt, hops and sugar), and are available in Pimprenelle, Perce-neige, CroMignone, Tribale, Fontilla, Flambeuse and Raaahaa! The beers are sold directly from the brewery and in many local establishments. This brewery has become THE reference in the Ariège!

In 1969, André Cazaux opened a delicatessen in Saint-Girons. Today, the charcuterie products enjoy a very good reputation at local and regional level. They are also present in the Paris region, in Aquitaine and in Provence. Pigs and pigs come exclusively from the South-West. Sausages, dry sausages, liver sausages, hams, pâtés and other succulent products are the achievements of this constantly expanding company. The pork butcher is regularly awarded gold medals at the Concours Général Agricole.

He opened a specialized store under the roof of Mirepoix and proposes cheeses, delicatessen and emblematic dishes of the Basque Country, accompanied by wines from Irouleguy, Eguzki beers and of course the famous Espelette pepper. Marie-Laure and Cécile organized the meeting of the earth and the sea in Mirepoix. They have favoured short circuits and small local producers, whenever possible. The fish are caught and not bred and of French origin. The shop is large, colourful and very bright. The use of baskets to present the vegetables accentuates the feeling of authenticity and quality. All the prices are written on slates, giving a market-garden feel and the advice given by the two saleswomen is always listened to and appreciated.

One of the most beautiful markets in Ariège takes place in Mirepoix. In the heart of this sublime medieval village, it animates the morning of Monday of the inhabitants and visitors come from the canton, the department, the bordering regions and even of the foreigner, in a hurry to fill their basket of products of the soil, fruits, vegetables, meats, fishes, spices, textile, jewels, objects of craft industry... in a convivial and coloured environment. Poultry is raised on grain and slaughtered and processed on site in approved facilities. Les Terroirs also owns 14 hectares of vineyards producing red, white and rosé wines. The beautiful blonde Brouche with pure organic malt, the amber Carabell, the white Plume with cloves and ginger, the Éphémère du printemps and the Magie Brune with roasted coffee-chocolate malt are the beers brewed by Pierre-Jean Faux since 2005. The recipe: 100% pure malt, spring water from the Pyrenees, no sterilization or filtration. Of course to be consumed in moderation or alone... or with whoever you want. Uby was created by the Morel family in 1920. Passed on from generation to generation, the domain's philosophy is to produce wines of pleasure, quality, conviviality and sharing in the image of the wines of Gascony and the region. You will find preserves and various home-made delicatessen products as well as foie gras, confits, pâtés and many cooked dishes, guaranteed without coloring nor OMG.

In Côtes de Gascogne, not far from Condom, the winegrower Silas Marcellin was inspired by the fortified village of Gazaupouy to give his wine estate the name of Domaine Les Remparts. Labelled with the High Environmental Value label, the Domaine distinguishes itself by the balance of its terroir between reds and whites, its vintage Armagnacs de Ténarèze and its recently awarded Floc de Gascogne. In the cellar, you will also find the famous Agen prunes with Floc. For direct sale, you can come to the vineyard to discover and buy their bottles.
