On the Bastides circuit, the sixth generation of winegrowers of the Hirissou family presents its vineyard to you. For nearly 200 years, these enthusiasts have been producing superb wines from their 38-hectare estate. It must be said that the location of their estate - scattered on both banks of the Tarn river - allows them to combine two high-quality terroirs: braucols and duras in red, far from the eye, muscadelle and mauzac in white varieties. These two ambassadors of the gastronomic and wine-growing richness of the Pays gaillacois will make a special place for themselves on your tables, whatever the occasion.

The tasting was relaxed and conversational and Thurain's English was very good. He let us pick which wines we were interested in trying and gave us the background information for each one. We did not feel rushed or pressured to make a purchase (although we did leave with a few bottles).
The wines themselves were very good and offered at a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend this winery to anyone in the area looking for a tasting in a comfortable atmosphere.
