The Salmon family has been at the helm of this estate since 2005, offering a selection of still red wines. Their flagship wine, Château La Croix Bonneau Renaissance 2006, was mentioned in the Guide Hachette des Vins in 2010. Other vintages include Renaissance 2010, 2009, 2008 and 2007. The wines are predominantly Merlot, with a small proportion of Cabernet Franc. The clay-limestone soil on which the vines are planted gives the wines a fine structure. The estate does not offer tastings or sales on site, but it is possible to make an appointment. For wine lovers, Domaine Salmon et Fils is a must-see when visiting the Bordeaux region.

Fifth classified growth, the property, which covers 22 hectares, remained in the hands of the Borie family until 2017, when it was bought by the Cazes family. This castle has a particularity: the Aspic tower. It was built in the 19th century by Anne-Françoise Averous, just like the cave of Artigues. This tower is surmounted by a dome and a Virgin treading on a viper, symbol of evil, also called aspic. The towers in the vineyards were used to monitor the state of the vines and the work of the wine growers.
