All year round, Capbreton's traditional food market welcomes you under the halls on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm, and outside (Allées Marines) every Saturday from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. In high season, and more precisely from June 15 to September 15, the market takes place in the Allées Marines on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. For the fish market, visit the George Pompidou wharf at the foot of the harbour master's office every day of the year. In July and August, shopkeepers take over the pedestrian street of General de Gaulle, every Monday and Wednesday evening from 8.30 pm for the night market, but also on Friday evenings with the local and craft market. Not forgetting the gourmet markets held every Wednesday evening from 7 to 10.30 pm. On the menu: tapas, oriental plates, duck breast, cheese, charcuterie...

The traditional market is a must for those who love seasonal and local produce! Here, the market takes place every Friday in Mimizan Bourg (behind the town hall). The covered market is open from Tuesday to Sunday (place du marché). It's a great place to share a few tapas. From June 15 to September 15, the seasonal Thursday morning market attracts onlookers and tourists alike between the Mimizan Intercommunal Tourist Office and the bullring.

The traditional Villeneuve-sur-Lot market takes place on Saturday mornings in Place Lafayette and Rue Lakanal. Local producers of fruit and vegetables, butchers, pork butchers and fishmongers meet up with locals and visitors alike for a colorful morning of gossip, commentary on the previous day's matches and political jousting. Since 2016, the Tuesday morning market has moved to Place de la Libération. Last but not least, an organic market takes place every Wednesday morning on Place d'Aquitaine.

Le Bugue's weekly market is held every Tuesday and Saturday in the town center, all year round. Renowned throughout the region, it attracts large crowds in summer and winter alike. We strongly recommend parking on the other side of the river. In summer, the farmers' markets, starting at 6pm,are always accompanied by tastings and often by a festive evening during which everyone composes their own meal from local producers. In Le Bugue, it's Tuesday evening, and it's a veritable festival of colors, flavors and gourmet encounters.

A visit to the Cadillac-sur-Garonne market is a must! Carrying on a tradition that goes back more than eight centuries, this lively market is the largest in the South-West. Every Saturday morning, nearly a hundred merchants take over the bastide town and its ramparts to sell their quality products. Fruit, vegetables, local produce and handicrafts delight locals and tourists alike. You'll also find many organic products in a dedicated aisle. Pleasures for the senses and conviviality are guaranteed.

Making the fame of the bastide of Sainte-Foy-la-Grande, the weekly Saturday morning market was elected "Favorite Market of the French" in 2014. Very dynamic and lively, friendly, welcoming and authentic, it is one of the 100 Exceptional Markets of France! Note that a small market of local producers is held every morning on the town hall square. In July and August, on Thursdays, the François Mitterrand terrace comes alive with the colors of a Marché de Producteur de Pays®.

During the summer period, of course, it is more pleasant, but this open-air market takes place all year round on the square of the station of Gujan-Mestras. Here, about forty itinerant traders are present to make discover quality products. This market allows to privilege the contact between the producers and the consumers. It is always appreciated by the Gujanese as well as the tourists and visitors of passage. Leave your car on the parking lot (allée René Fourgs) and take the free shuttle to get there.

The traditional Peyrehohade market has been held on Wednesday mornings since 1358. It's the oldest market in the Landes! Over a hundred local producers, shopkeepers, craftsmen and other hawkers set up their stalls from Place du Sablot to Place Aristide Briand. Start or finish with a pig's trotter tasting in one of the restaurants open early that day. There's also a small food market under the Halles on Saturday mornings, a Wednesday morning "marché au gras" from October to March, and a Gascon day on the Wednesday before the summer holidays.

This well known market is located on the very busy Boulevard de la République. This small and pleasant meeting allows you to meet about twenty producers specialized in organic farming. Fruits and vegetables are naturally present, but also cheesemakers and other producers that a reasoned agriculture gathers every Saturday morning in the heart of Agen. This market has already been present for a quarter of a century and it is never empty. It smells good as you stroll by the stalls to indulge yourself with the prospect of eating healthy.

In addition to Wednesday mornings, it's the Sunday rendezvous of every self-respecting (smart) Agenais! You'll find only local, seasonal produce, and some of the cheapest prices around. There's also a lovely mushroom stand, and a small poultry shop. And don't forget the creamery, with its mouth-watering yoghurts and crème fraîche. At the entrances to the market, you'll find nurserymen, bakers and a fishmonger offering excellent cod brandade. This is the place to catch up on the previous day's rugby match, a warm and friendly market.

It's been given a facelift to better welcome the people of Agen and beyond, with more space and a more practical layout. The lively market is staffed by some twenty traders and craftsmen, offering top-quality produce and the friendly welcome you'd expect from a market. Every Tuesday morning, from the Place Jasmin onwards, the Grand'Rue and the Place des Cornières are closed to traffic to make way for the market. Bread, farmhouse cheeses made from raw milk, goat's cheese logs, poultry and fish are present as well as fruit and vegetables with the beautiful Dordogne strawberries in season. Foie gras, confits, pâtés and charcuterie stalls revisit the flagships and several stalls offer organic products. As soon as the weather is fine, the main street and square of Castillonnès come alive and make it a very pleasant market.

In July and August, the Place Armand-Fallières comes alive with local farmers' markets. Organized under the auspices of the department's Chamber of Agriculture, these markets are a great place to meet and exchange ideas. These summer evenings are festive, with large tables set up so you can enjoy your shopping on the spot, and musical entertainment (different artists perform each week). These night markets complement the traditional Thursday morning market.

On Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, the bastide town of Libourne comes alive to the rhythm of the open-air market. From 8am to 12:30pm, traders take over the pretty Place Abel Surchamp and adjacent streets. Particularly popular with the Bordelais, the Sunday market is still the biggest and liveliest. The Halle de Libourne, adjacent to the open-air market, is temporarily closed due to a fire on the night of September 2, 2023. As the seasons go by, other markets and events take place in the heart of Libourne.

In 1755, the Intendant de Tourny decided to establish a branch of the Grand-Marché on the Place du Parlement. It was named the Royal Market. It was then moved to the Quai des Salinières and finally moved to the Place Saint-Michel in 1960. Today, some 160 traders are spread out on the Place du Bourg and on the Quai des Salinières, offering mainly foodstuffs, but also various items for the home, cosmetics, shoes and clothing. Ideal to buy in quantity, because there are often interesting offers.

You might think that the Chartrons covered market is actually on the market square, sheltered under the metal and glass hall, but no. To find it, you have to go to the rue Sicard. Seven professionals who select the best of our land (fishmonger, vegetable seller, cheesemonger, delicatessen, oyster merchant, wine merchant and a butcher) welcome customers who come to look for fresh and quality products in a friendly atmosphere. Another market of the Chartrons is held in the open air on the quays on Sunday.

La P'tite Halle is a... small shop selling fresh produce, fruit and vegetables, hygiene products, local and organic produce, groceries and a fine selection of wines. In Arès, La P'tite Halle is located in the town center (there's a parking lot right in front). But it's also in Lège, on the route du Grand Crohot. All year round, locals go there to stock up on good things, and in summer, they rub shoulders with tourists who don't hesitate to put together their picnic baskets before heading off to the beaches.

The annual Soulac Gastronomic Fair takes place around August 14th and 15th in Place Aliénor d'Aquitaine. In a friendly, family atmosphere, artisans, winemakers and producers come together to offer visitors all the local produce of the Médoc, as well as Aquitaine specialities: wines, spirits, liqueurs, foies gras, charcuterie and other regional products... Marc, Anne-Marie, Bruno and Guy, the 4 "Copains des champs", created the shops in Eysines and La Teste-de-Buch with the aim of developing direct sales, short circuits, total traceability of origin and the promotion of the know-how of small producers in the region and sometimes a little further afield. You can buy butchery, charcuterie and poultry as well as trout, vegetables and seasonal fruit, dairy products, groceries, ready-made meals, preserves, wines, fruit juices, etc.

They are the commercial lung of the city center, the den of the producers, craftsmen and professionals of the food trades. This mythical place has been entirely rehabilitated. The stallholders are spread over 2 levels, and collective tasting areas have also been set up. A 250 m² brewery has opened its doors. The producers' floor has been recreated on 1 811 m². Light, lightness and transparency are the main themes of these new Halles, which offer: market gardeners, fishmongers, delicatessens, caterers, butchers, rotisseries, bakeries, pastry shops, wine shops and stands dedicated to coffee and olives... A showcase of gastronomy in the heart of Pau!

This market is first and foremost a place of life: go there to soak up its cheerful atmosphere. You'll find a wide range of foodstuffs and clothing if you want to do some shopping. Built in the 60s, first to house workers from the Lacq site, then to accommodate people from the various migrations that France has experienced, the Hameau district has seen its image evolve over time. The appointment of the Teichois takes place on Saturday morning from 7:30 am until 1:30 pm, place du Souvenir, in the city center, between the church and the town hall. Each weekend, you will find about twenty merchants. On the menu: local products, fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, fish, ready-made meals, breads... But you will also find some stands of flowers, plants and even clothes. In short, everything to spend a pleasant and friendly morning.

In the open air, on a renovated cobbled esplanade, this market brings the Saragosse district to life every Thursday. Fruit and vegetable sellers, oriental pastries, fishmongers, roasters, fabric and clothing vendors, even a coffee barber... The choice is vast, and there's no shortage of bargains! A loyal clientele flocks here, appreciating the wealth of stalls offered by the thirty or so merchants. Thanks to major works currently underway, the Saragosse district, whose grey towers were previously not very appealing, is now on the way to becoming a dynamic, leafy eco-neighborhood where life is good... and where you can do your shopping!

The Castillon-la-Bataille market is a lively affair, with an emphasis on quality food products: seasonal vegetables, of course, as well as meat and charcuterie, fish, cheeses... This old market from Palaise, which recently celebrated its 40th anniversary, has successfully migrated to the Billère market hall. Organic agriculture is available in all its forms thanks to about thirty traders coming mainly from Bearn or neighbouring departments such as the Hautes-Pyrénées, Landes or Gers. Quality, freshness and conviviality are the order of the day: seasonal fruits and vegetables of course, but also meats and poultry, cheeses, breads and honey, teas and coffees, and fair trade products. Mini-conferences on ecology and climate are sometimes organized. Under this beautiful wooded hall, you can combine business with pleasure!
