Come and discover the authentic "marché au gras" every winter to find the best foie gras and duck products.
The Périgueux Marché au Gras takes place every winter under a big top set up on Place Saint-Louis. Twenty or so producers share this space, where you can choose from a wide range of goose and duck products, including foie gras lobes, semi-cooked foie gras, stuffed necks, pâtés, magrets, confits and carcasses. People come for good advice, to taste, to choose. Award-winning markets are held one Saturday a month from November to February, with folklore, entertainment and tastings. At the end of the market, there's nothing left: come early!
